Angel Nails

I'm happy. Yesterday was my very last day at my work through 2 years. That job always made my cuticles so damn dry and my ring finger chip! It's so awesome to know that I don't have any obligations the next 2 months. I can just do what I want! And No. More. Chipping!!

After work yesterday I had to go straight to a birthday, and I wanted to wear Ciate Bumble Bee caviar beads, because they would match my clothing, but since I had to do my nails at work I had to do something totally simple, so I just went with Max Factor's 'Angel Nails' which was part of a free gift I got in Matas (Danish beauty store) some while ago. Sweet.
It looks like this:

 Two coats are used.

It's very shimmery but yet discreet. At first I actually didn't like it, but I do now, and I know I'm gonna wear this many more times for sure.

As you can see, it's not opaque, I think to get total coverage I probably should have used 5 coats or something like that. But I didn't want to, so I just wore two coats.

I know this was nothing fancy, but I just wanted to show you anyways :)

Water Marble - summer colors !

 This is kind of an expansion of yesterdays manicure (to see, click here). I just thought that the lovely color deserved it's own post first :b I lolololove it!
Well oh well, I decided to make some water marble on a few of the nails. I didn't do all nails since I wanted the yellow to be in focus, not the water marble. 

Let's just see the result!

It didn't turn out to be the pattern I had imagined, but this is just as good. I really like it, I must admit!
A bit photo heavy today, but I just love this mani! ;)

Products used are: Maybelline Colorshow - Electric Yellow & Rimmel - Disco Fever. Both new :)
There are used two coats of Electric Yellow on pinky and index, and one coat on ring and middlef. as base coat.

 

I think the yellow looks so fine with this glitter top, though I know it's a silly background...! The yellow just stands out more. More irl than on this photo..

I definitely need to do more water marble. There are just endless possibilities in both colors and patterns! So I hope you, my dear readers, are up with that?! :)

Yellow !

Hello everyone :)

This will just be a short post, but that doesn't change how much I LOVE this color! It's called 'Electric Yellow' and is from Maybelline Colorshow. Yet again I found a favorite!
See why?

Application is easy, fast drying time and I used two coats. It's more opaque than I dared to hope, so that's good! It looks so nice, specially because I got a little tan on my hands and arms (though you can't see it on my fingers in pic). Wohoooo!

Chevron Nails !

Hello again!

Here's my attempt at chevron nails. I recently bought Mavala's Bamako (I freaking love that green!!) and this lovely Ocean Blue , and I thought they would look really good together.
So this is the result!

The colors look a bit dull in these next two pictures - they are pre-topcoat.

....but on the next picture you can really see how lovely the colors are. The blue has a nice shimmer in it, and the green is just lovely!

I always have such a hard time capturing black polishes! Every light reflects in them, and they just look so weird. Nothing to do about that, I guess..
And I know the lines are somewhat uneven - I hope I will do better next time ;)

 Do you like it ? :) I know I do... And I need to get more Mavala, I have found out...

Nail Wrap Fail.

Hello everyone!!
Long time no see. I've been at a festival and afterwards I just needed a couple of days off! Now I'm back in business...well, should I say almost! Seems like everything I touch turns into useless uglyness atm.
First you need to see my attempt on nail wraps! Epic fail.

I used Loreal Color Riche nail wraps.

Black with gold pattern.

I really liked the pattern, but these stickers were not my friends...
The stickers are flat, like stickers always are, but my nails are not flat. They are a bit curvy. Which means when you put on the sticker it creates folds in the sides. As you can see on image below on all my fingers. I tried putting them on differently but nothing helped.  

I don't have big nails or big fingers or anything, but these wraps were almost all too small for me!! I don't want a sticker not covering the whole nail, so I actually had to take some of the stickers that were too big and cut them smaller...

And then we have the thumb! Most of the glue stayed on the plastic sheet they came on, resulting in a weird, annoying, bubbly wrap that wouldn't stick.
Difficult to capture in a photo, but I guess you catch my point here! 

The glue on the other stickers weren't too good either, but not as bad as this thumb.
And it was right then I realised that I just had to take them off again (which left my nails really rough and ugly) and used Fnug's Futuristica holo polish as stop gap! 

So, anyone of you tried these Loreal Nail Wraps? Would like to hear your experiences!

This weekend . . .

I will be at yet a festival so I will not be all over my blog! Let me just say, I had planned to wear some nail wraps from Loreal...boy were they bad? Yes. Sooooo instead I'm just wearing holo from Fnug! The weather is insanely sunny so it's perfect for holos!

Ocean Blue

Hi everyone!
I just bought some new polishes from Maybelline and today I felt like wearing the Ocean Blue. It's blue (obviously) with a subtle shimmer in it. And let's just see how it looks!

Since it's such great weather outside, I decided to stamp a flower on my index.
The dots are made with simple dotting tools.
I used two coats.

The final photo is in the shade. As you can see it's not nearly as shiny as in direct sun light.

The application with these polishes is so easy. They have a semi-wide brush, and the consistence is just so perfect. Not too thin, not too thick. And price is very affordable. Hard to stop yourself from buying them all!
This is a very simple design, but I love this blue!

Chanel Rouge Noir

G'day everyone!
I really neglected the blog this weekend since I have been busy working, going to a festival and taking care of a hangover. . . But now I'm ready to go again!
Today I want to show you one of my favorite nail polishes. It's Rouge Noir from Chanel. I love it!

This polish is of course not the cheapest, but I think it's worth the money. Everything about it is just so luxurious. I've heard lot of people complaining about Chanel's polishes, that they don't fulfill the expectations that comes along with the price. But I personally have no problems with them. They have a long lasting and now, on the third day, there are still no signs of chipping or anything.

 As I have mentioned before I love these dark colors that are almost black. Rouge Noir was actually  created to look like dried blood... This dark color looks great along any outfit!

 I used two coats. And no top coat.

This was allegedly the polish Uma Thurman wore in Pulp Fiction..that's not why I like Rouge Noir, but Pulp Fiction is definitely one of my favorite movies, so it's just a little fun and totally useless bonus info ;)
